Leading Queenstown Helicopter Operator Expands

Hanger expansions and welcoming of new Eurocopter to fleet in time for the 2009 Heliski season.

 

Winter is in full swing in Queenstown as the 35^th Annual American Express Winterfest draws to a close.

 

To make the most of the winter season Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopter, recently extended their Queenstown base, creating increased hanger space, engineering work space and a  new reception and greeting area.

 

The end of June saw the arrival of a brand new Eurocopter to the fleet, bringing them to a total of 3 seven seater aircrafts and a 5 seater aircraft enabling them to cater for exclusive private charters for two – to larger group excursions and transfers. The extensions made to both the Helicopter base and the fleet itself will enable Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters to better serve the scenic flight and heliski markets.

Again this winter coupling with Southern Lakes Heliski, Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters will be able to offer Queenstown’s most expansive Heliski product with access to the largest amount of back country terrain.
